HMB, or Calcium ß-Hydroxy ß-Methylbutyrate, is an important anti-catabolic compound shown to support the body?s ability to minimise muscle protein losses as a result of strenuous exercise. HMB is formed during the metabolism of the essential branched chain amino acid L-Leucine.
